At PGHS we want to make sure that each student is able to have a great Holiday Season. We offer our families this opportunity that is only possible with the help of our Holiday Sponsors. Without sponsors, these children will not be able to have the holidays we know they could have. As a sponsor, you will receive a "Needs and Wants List" for a student. We ask that our sponsors provide one complete outfit as well as one thing from their needs list and one thing from their wants list, but you are not limited to that.

Teachers’ Day aims to raise awareness of the importance of the role played by teachers all over the world. They dedicate their lives to making an impact on the way children learn and grow and turn into adults.

Carolina Cat Tour:
Any 10th, 11th, or 12th grader interested in a future in heavy equipment, hydraulics, or industrial air compressors - this is your opportunity to tour the Carolina Caterpillar facility.
When: November 1, 2024.
No cost for the transportation, but you should bring $10+ to eat at Chick-Fil-A. To Register Click Here: https://forms.gle/Z4cuwjoN2yhBkTxA9 . There is a limit of 30 students. Please keep in mind you must be passing all your classes and have five or less absences.

Thank you to everyone who donated water for Western NC! So far, our total count collected today between PGHS and NERMS is 98 cases and 10 jugs of water! Keep it coming Patriots! Help us get the word out to collect for those in need from Hurricane Helene!

With North Carolina’s new simplified application program, public high school seniors with a weighted 2.8 GPA or above can easily apply to participating UNC System universities and their local North Carolina community college.
All eligible students have to do is complete a simplified application, maintain their GPA, and meet graduation and UNC System requirements. That's right - no essays!
