At Monday evening’s meeting, the Randolph County Board of Commissioners approved a significant increase in local funding for the Randolph County School System for the 2026–2027 school year. This investment reflects a strong commitment to supporting student success and strengthening educational opportunities across our school system.

The leadership of our school system extends our sincere appreciation to the County Commissioners for their continued support of our schools, staff, and students. We also thank the members of the Board of Education for their dedication, leadership, and hard work throughout the budget development process. The collaborative efforts of these two groups of elected officials have helped secure important resources that will benefit the students in the Randolph County School System.

The “Pride in the Randolph County School System (RCSS)” program honors employees who consistently demonstrate pride in the school system and exemplify strong character and commitment in their everyday work. While the program primarily highlights smaller, often unnoticed acts of dedication, it also recognizes exceptional efforts tied to larger events when appropriate.

Employees chosen for this recognition are awarded a “Pride in the Randolph County School System” lapel pin. Recipients are selected by members of the RCSS Leadership Team, school principals, or Board of Education members.

The following pages list the “Pride in RCSS” pin recipients from May 1, 2025, through April 30, 2026. We extend our sincere thanks to these outstanding employees for their dedication to the Randolph County School System.

Good evening, Patriot Nation! This is a final weather and ticketing update for tonight’s graduation ceremony. Graduation will be held outside in Patriot Stadium starting at 8:00 PM. However, because summer weather can be unpredictable, we are asking all guests to please bring their physical tickets with them. In the event of a sudden, pop-up storm, we will move the ceremony indoors. If an indoor move happens right before or during the ceremony, ticket holders will receive priority seating in the main gym. Guests without tickets will be directed to the auditorium, until we reach capacity, to watch the live stream. Thank you for your cooperation and flexibility as we celebrate the Class of 2026. We look forward to seeing you tonight! Go Patriots!

Last week members of Providence Grove High School FFA were honored to help support an incredible fishing tournament at Randleman Lake for our veterans. 🇺🇸🎣

Spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting, playing games, or simply being there for a veteran can make a bigger difference than many people realize. Every day, an estimated 22 veterans lose their lives to suicide. Sometimes the best way to help is simply getting them out of the house, listening, and reminding them they are not alone.

PGHS FFA students are thankful for the opportunity to serve those who have sacrificed so much for our country. Thank you to all veterans for your service, strength, and dedication. ❤️💙
